Part 3: Gifts for Book Lovers

You guessed right, part 3 of gifts for book lovers is here! Check out more of what we are obsessed with, items we love, things we wish we had, and more below. And in case you missed them, check out Part 1 and Part 2 of Gifts for Book Lovers!

A BOOK BOUQUET:

I would die if someone gave me a book bouquet. This is such a fun, unique and special gift to give and pretty easy to create.

DIY Instructions:

  1. Determine the size of the bouquet you want to build (small - 3, medium - 5, large - 7)

  2. Pick a color theme (pinks, yellows, purples, blues, etc.)

  3. Check out your local grocery store of florists flower selection (I would recommend picking the flowers before the books due to flower selection and qualities) and find the perfect selection for your bouquet

  4. Hit up your favorite bookstore for some books (I'd find books that coordinate with the flowers/theme)

  5. Don't forget tissue paper and ribbons and paint sticks can come in handy for the more books that you have

  6. The size and number of books will determine how your bouquet will look exactly, but I'd recommend laying out the books in tissue paper and mixing flowers within and using the ribbon to cinch at the stems trying to keep it as flat as possible to not lose anything

Purchase Options:

ANNOTATED BOOK:

This is the most intimate and personal gift in my mind to give to a fellow book lover. If I gift you one of my personal copies of an annotated book then just know how much value there is in that gift. My personal notes, thoughts, doodles, sticky notes and commentary - it is a true step into my mind and a real test of friendship to be gifted an annotated book in my mind.

MAP OF A WORLD:

Most people know their friends favorite fictional worlds. If you have friends who are a fantasy lover then I highly recommend gifting them a map or a set of maps for their favorite fictional worlds.

BOOK THEMED CLOTHES:

Whether a sweatshirt or t-shirt there are tons of options. Depending on the series it could be found in stores or online. But if you are like me and you like to shop small, then here are a few of my favorite shops and the products that they have. Etsy is one of my go-to sources for finding new and unique book themed items, but I do have a few others that I have found through social media and other sources.

Purchase Options:

Threaded by Sabrina (I LOVE what Sabrina creates, I have a few of her sweatshirts, the Morally Grey Men sis my favorite)

BOOK TECHNOLOGY/ACCESSORIES:

Whether a light, a book wedge or tablet pillow there are so many options that can make reading that much more enjoyable and comfortable.

PERSONALIZED BOOKMARK:

Whether you make them yourselves, order from Etsy, pick out from of Amazon or get some from The Blushing Rose - bookmarks are always useful. You could be like me and I'm the worst about know where any of my bookmarks are and worse about actually using them. I am always happy to get more bookmarks - especially if they are personalized or catered to what the giver knows that I like, it's more personal and intimate.
